The toughest ones. They make you – YOU.

What shapes us into who we are meant to be?
Leaving your hometown for a better life. Leaving your country for better opportunities.
Applying for your first job. Applying for a job you’ve never done before.
Starting counselling sessions. Going through different types of therapies.
Using foreign language you thought you’d never learn, to find the job you thought you’ll never get, to pay your bills. Using it to find a better job.
Being left out of the conversations because of your origin. Being made fun of because of your accent.
Driving a car on the other side of the road for the first time. Having first accident caused by another, sleepy driver.
Saying ‘yes’ to start chairing that first meeting for 25 people. Running first training session for that team in Asia.
Facing redundancy and fighting your corner. Getting a better role and making your dreams come true.
Going back home after many years of looking for happiness and settlement. Taking all you’ve learned with you.
All these and many other experiences can make you humbler, tired, often scarred but help you grow into who you are meant to be – the real YOU.
“When the sharpest words wanna cut me down.
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown ’em out.
This is brave, this is bruised.
This is who I’m meant to be, this is me“
Sending you love and wishing you finding yourself in the noise and distraction – and constant growth.
Don’t be afraid to try, happiness is on the other side of our fears ❤
